You don't improvise retirement. You plan it.
A savings and retirement plan helps you build, starting today, the money you'll need for retirement or for your long-term goals. You choose how much to contribute and for how long; I explain the options and stay with you along the way.
How it works
In simple words, no jargon.
- 1
You contribute
You set an amount you can keep up, monthly, quarterly or yearly.
- 2
Your savings grow
Over the term you choose, your money builds up according to the plan's terms.
- 3
You receive it
At the end of the term you receive your savings, as a lump sum or as income, depending on the plan.
Many plans also include protection for your family, and some may come with tax benefits. I'll explain what each option includes and what applies in your case.
Is it for you?
You're just starting out
The sooner you start, the more time your savings have to grow and the less you need to put in each month.
You're self-employed
You run your own business or work independently and have no retirement plan backing you up.
You want more than your Afore
You know the pension from your Afore (Mexico's mandatory retirement account) may fall short on its own, and you want your own backup with a clear goal and date.
Three common situations
Illustrative examples to give you an idea. The result of each plan depends on the amount, the term and the insurer's conditions.
With many years ahead, small and steady contributions can turn into a solid safety net.
If you feel you started late, we look for a plan with contributions or a term adjusted to your goal. It's never too late to start.
Without company benefits, the plan works as your own pension, with the flexibility you need.
Frequently asked questions
How much do I have to contribute?
It depends on your goal and the term. What matters is choosing a contribution you can keep up; together we work out an amount that's comfortable for you.
Is it the same as my Afore?
No. Your Afore is mandatory and tied to formal employment; a savings and retirement plan is voluntary and complements it.
Can I withdraw my money early?
Each plan has its own rules. Some allow early withdrawals under certain conditions; I'll explain the rules of each option before you decide.
What happens if I can't pay one month?
It depends on the plan. There are ways to avoid losing what you've already saved; we'll review them together if it ever happens.
